Emily & Henry’s Lake Tahoe wedding weekend started off with an amazing welcome at Tahoe Tree Company, which is a nursery a few minutes from their rental house. It was such a fun, unique place to start their weekend and was the perfect location for the two of them. It had a very backyard feel to it, with a beautiful gazebo where everyone gathered for speeches and lots of greenery and beautiful trees to mingle around. I loved the special little touches they added to customize their welcome reception – they had a board with love notes that they had written to each other over their years of dating, and had fun photos of the two of them spread around the event. Their friends and family had some hilarious and very sweet speeches to celebrate the couple, and it set an awesome tone for the whole weekend. I love photographing welcome parties because it’s a great way to meet the family and guests before the wedding day, and it’s such a fun, exciting time in the weekend celebrations where everyone sees each other for the first time.
