Sometimes I get too caught up in what I should be doing instead of what I want to be doing. I shoot for others instead of shooting for myself. I compare and obsess and lose sight of why I love what I do. Yesterday I revisited the place where I fell in love with photography over a decade ago, roaming the open roads and photographing my muse, Julia. It was just what I needed – I feel recharged and more inspired than I have in years. Sometimes all it takes is a step back from all of the craziness to take a deep breath and revisit where you came from.
