Claremont Hotel Wedding

Jen & Jake’s day might not have been the wedding they planned for, but ended up being the perfect day for the two of them. After their gorgeous Mt. Tam engagement session last winter I was so excited for their wedding at Tyge Williams Cellars, but the week leading up to their wedding our beloved Wine Country was on fire. The October Wine Country Fires left everyone frightened and unsure of what was going to happen, and these two were especially feeling the stress because their wedding was to take place just down the road from the fires. After watching and listening to news updates all week, they decided to replan their wedding day at a new venue, and Alex from Quintana Events moved heaven and earth to make the day perfect for them. The Claremont Hotel in Berkeley opened their doors to Jen & Jake and their guests, and the day ended up being amazing.

Sunset photos with Jen & Jake were incredible, with the most gorgeous golden light and such sweet snuggles from the two of them. Aside from photographing these two cuties, my favorite part of the day was the dance floor. The Band, Hip Service, was amazing, and at one point they got down on the dance floor and pointed the mike to Jake, who belted out the lyrics to EVERYONE’s surprise. Jen’s face was priceless as she heard this unknown skill of her now husband. It was amazing.

Congrats Jen & Jake! I loved being a part of your day and I’m so glad that you guys had such an amazing time. Your day was a true testament to the fact that it doesn’t matter where you get married or what happens – all that really matters is that you’re surrounded by your loved ones.
