What a year it’s been!! It’s been a crazy busy season with tons of amazing weddings and portraits that I can’t wait to share them all, but I’m so excited to re-start my blogging with this INCREDIBLE destination wedding in Palm Springs!! I know Cody & Casey through mutual friends from college, and it was so sweet and such an honor to be included in their wedding weekend. They rented out the gorgeous space of Smoke Tree Ranch and had their guests say on the property so they could utilize the entire area, and it was such a rad way to spend their wedding celebration. Their wedding day was so laid back and so much fun – they started the day with yoga, followed by water aerobics, corn hole, bocce ball and pretty much every other activity you could think of. After spending the morning sunning with their friends, they got ready together before heading off to explore the Smoke Tree Ranch property with me for portraits. They are both really close to their families and honored that relationship by having their siblings as their wedding party. Their nieces and nephews were so adorable and added some extra cuteness to the day (seriously, how adorable are their twin nieces!?). When it was time for the ceremony, Cody & Casey walked hand in hand down the aisle to a stunning ceremony site with the mountains as their backdrop. They wanted to bring some fun to their ceremony and started it off with a fun “look under your seat” game, and a few lucky guests were surprised to find mini fireball shots taped to their bench. They started the ceremony with a big CHEERS to the couple and it set the perfect ton for the sweet, sentimental, FUN wedding. Their guests snacked on donuts from a handmade donut wall (created by their handy brother in law), wiped tears away during the sweetest speeches from their siblings, and danced away under the stars with a pretty epic and incredible dance party.
