A few days before Karina and Simon’s wedding the Bay Area received some much needed rain that threatened to knock off the gorgeous cherry blossoms that lined the entrance of the Brazilian Room in Tilden Park, a feature the bride absolutely loved. Luckily the clouds disappeared the morning of and blue skies graced us to make for a gorgeous, love-filled day for Karina and Simon’s wedding. And the cherry blossoms held on tight, making it the most dreamy, springtime affair! I’m not going to lie, I teared up multiple times during their ceremony and believe me, I wasn’t the only one. Surrounded by their closest friends and family who traveled from around the world (one couple came all the way from Norway!) Karina and Simon promised their lives to one another. Simon could not stop smiling whenever he looked at his bride and Karina looked stunning as she floated around the wedding in her gorgeous dress. To make it even more special, the couple’s friends and family added to the day by making specialty popcorn treats for favors and baking a traditional Norwegian wedding cake. As tradition goes, however many layers of the cake the groom can fit in one hand determines the amount of children the couple will have. As documented below, Simon managed to pull 5 layers off the cake and much to Karina’s surprise they’re now destined to have a large, gorgeous family! I feel so honored to have been a part of their special day and so grateful to have met this amazing couple.
