The fall in Holland is beautiful. The leaves have turned a gorgeous mix of yellow and red, and the air is crisp and beautiful. It’s usually grey, with bouts of clear, dazzling blue skies, then thunderous rain storms that sweep through the country side to start the day afresh. It’s the perfect excuse to stay inside our cozy apartment and read. When it’s nice out I like to keep our windows open and I love the sounds of bikes bumping along the cobblestone road and bells dinging from below. We’ve been exploring out neighborhood more and more and love where we live. We’ve found some delicious restaurants nearby and have discovered our favorite walks and bike rides around town. The streets are getting littered with leaves and more and more people are pulling out their warm winter coats and cozy scarves. This will be my first real fall season (fall in California doesn’t really count as fall…) and so far it’s turning out to be a brilliant one.
