I’ve loved this quote for a long long time and have been waiting for the perfect couple to use it with. As we were walking back to the car after their session, Katie was talking about their relationship and she brought up this same Dr. Seuss quote to explain how they are together. If that’s not a perfect match (both with them, and with me, obviously) then I don’t know what is. I immediately fell in love with these two during their engagement session, and not just because they brought me coffee from Philadelphia as a sweet treat! They flew out for their session and some wedding planning and it was such a joy getting to know them and exploring the Pt. Reyes National Seashore.

I grew up driving the roads of West Marin with my friends, blasting music and exploring the beaches and windy coastline, and I’m not going to lie, I’ve hated on this Cypress Tunnel a lot. Over the past few years the roads have become more and more congested with tourists because of this spot. I would drive by, glaring at them like a big ol’ meanie, and then head out to our secret, special spots and feel entitled. Well, now I totally get it why everyone stops here because it’s pretty freaking amazing and a really unique spot. The trees create the most perfect archway and it’s absolutely gorgeous on a foggy afternoon. I’m not saying I won’t still glare next time I’m out there, but I’m just saying I guesssss I get it now 😉

After adventuring through the cypress tunnel and these two braved the foggy cold wind like CHAMPS as we strolled along the grassy pathways and cliffside. Jim gave Katie the cutest piggyback up the hill so she wouldn’t have to trudge through the tall grass, and you could tell that these two are just the cutest, sweetest loves. They both care deeply about each other and you can tell from just a few minutes together they above everything, they’re super best friends. They have SO much fun together and it made capturing their love a breeze. I am SO excited about their wedding this weekend at the YMCA Camp Cambell!!
