2019 was the busiest year of my career. I know I say that every year, but this year was truly the craziest. I took on a ton of new work and was shooting 2-3 weekday shoots in addition to weekends filled with engagement sessions and weddings. At times it was really stressful – trying to organize shoots, shoot the actual shoot, edit and deliver shoots, while staying on top of all the communication for future shoots, marketing, and behind the scenes business tasks that are necessary for running a small business. Not to mention having time to breath, eat, and see Jack! All that to say, it was such a big year of growth and I’m so grateful for the chances I had to try my hand in new industries while growing my portfolio with portraits and weddings.

I feel like I really hit my strive with engagement sessions this year where I was able to really get my couples to relax and have fun in front of the camera. It was such a blast meeting lots of my couples before their weddings and getting to know them!
