For those of you who haven’t been following my instagram religiously, my husband and I recently moved to Europe for a year! Jack received a Fulbright scholarship for the 2015-2016 school year to study water management at TU Delft so we’re currently living in the Netherlands! We’re located in the quaint little town of Delft, which is about an hour south of Amsterdam, and we’re loving every minute of it. This experience is something that we’ve dreamed about for a long time – Jack first found out about this opportunity a few years ago through a coworker and it has since then been a reoccurring daydream of ours. We knew that it would be difficult to do without being married (harder for me to come along at least) so as soon as we were married Jack applied, and then we found out he received the grant last May. It is a pretty surreal feeling – dreaming about something for so long and then one day having it come true. This past summer was a whirlwind packed with lots of weddings, travel, moving, and preparing to uproot our lives to live abroad. But we’re finally here and I still can’t believe it’s actually happening. We’ll be here until July 2016 and then will moving back to the Bay Area so Jack can attend Stanford.
